Picked her up Friday. Pretty impressed so far. I'm coming from a 5Star Tuned 2011 Ecoboost Lariat 2WD. This thing is a beast and I'm pretty blown away by all the Tech. We also own a 2017 Mercedes GLC43 and 2017 Hellcat Charger, and this thing is loaded in the way of options and amenities. Good Job Ford.
I'm not blown away by the power, it's adequate for a big ol' truck, and slightly quicker than my 2011 - and hard to get into any vehicle after putting a few miles in the Hellcat. But this thing just makes you feel like you can do and go anywhere - kinda like our jeep we owned (but it was so slow). Obviously it's a truck and large/tall - so it's not sports car, but it's the closest thing you can get to a sports truck and you can go anywhere. I'm very happy with the purchase and excited to put more miles on this thing. I sold my 2016 Rubicon Hard Rock a couple months ago, so I'm happy to get back into a vehicle we can take the family off road in - looking forward to putting her to the test in a next couple of months.
Overall, very impressed with this machine, and highly recommend it if you are on the fence. I did pay $5k over MSRP (I know STUPID), but I justify it with how well they hold/held their values over the years, and I just dropped $2k fixing my 2011 on stupid stuff that has no warranty - I didn't want to put anymore more money into a non-warranty daily driver.
I was just talking to one of my buddies today about how in the recent past we would dream of buying a low $100k or under $100k Euro Sports Car, and Nowadays - all you need is a Domestic and it'll give you every thrill you can imagine. Ford/Dodge/GM - they are killing it right now - LOVE IT!
