My GSD hates the neighbor’s Shelby Raptor

I have a year old German Shepherd and she’s a sweetheart. She loves my Raptor when she hears it because it either means I’m home or taking her somewhere. However, a guy in the neighborhood has a Gen2 Shelby Raptor, same color, and she HATES it. She charges it, tries to attack, barks like a maniac, etc. I don’t think the guy has noticed but I find it hilarious because she’s fine with literally every other vehicle, even super loud ones. Just this Shelby.

Anyone else’s dog freak out over a truck similar to yours?

Last week after the gym I diverted to pick up the wife some healthy snacks from a close by place. On the way home, I get close to my house, only a few more to go and I spy an older gent outside with his step on dog. I notice the dog is free, so I let off the gas. I’m already going 25 or under but I figure just in case...

Sure enough, this white-ish, mop looking yapper darts right out in front of us like it’s going to take a bite out of the tires. Full brakes and fortunately, I missed the mutt. I can see the gent is beside himself thinking his really small dog is about to become really, a lot smaller.

Wife’s stuff flies on to the floor, OF COURSE. I go clean it up - guy says the dog goes nuts over any pickup truck.

Also just kidding. Pups are so funny, and so are kids that young. My son has had a pretty complicated grudge system since he was 3. Weird things set anyone off so why not dogs. People get triggered about stickers on someone else’s car.

Dogs are really sensitive to their owner's feelings ... maybe you're the one with a Shelby problem. Jealous of that sound?

Not jealous at all, mine is loud enough (we have a baby on the way).

I have a German Shepherd as well & she's the best. Super sweet & loving to anyone I trust, but she goes crazy w/ other dogs or humans that set something off in her. It's a great way to size up other people. Maybe that Shelby just can't be trusted. Or maybe she just has something against your neighbor?

Although they have enough hair as it is I wish we had some long hair dogs
