the garage. got an 8 ft wide single garage door. raptor wont fit. well, it would, but it would be tight, and id have to fold the mirrors in. and the '13 im ordering isnt getting the power mirrors. eventually id forget to bring em in anyways and POW! gonna have the opening enlarged for a 10 ft door. coulda went with 9 ft but why deal with guiding it in every time. the raptor would barely fit lengthwise as well, so im gonna have em bring the door out into the driveway a little bit, too. $1800 for the job, parts and labor. plus $500 for a storage shed to put all my crap in out back. solid investment. i just increased my property value.

Showing the love to protect your investment. If my Raptor would not have fit I might not have it today. Mine fits with the 9 ft doors pretty easy, after parking it numerous times it is mindless. 10 ft would be nice.

$1800 for the complete job sounds cheap considering your garage needs to be enlarged that much

thats what i thought. but theyre not enlarging the entire front of the garage, just moving the opening out a bit. the interior length of the garage is 7 inches longer than the scab, so it woulda fit anyways (tight) but i wanted a little more leeway. and i got a buyer for the old door already, so thats outa the way. $1000 for the remodel and $800 for the door. cheaper than buying a new garage/house i guess.

power mirrors are standard. but the power "folding" mirrors are part of the 801A package, which i dont plan to purchase

Gotcha. Thats what I meant, power folding. I use them all the time and require them. My garage door is also 8' wide and with mirrors folded in, I have 1" in clearance on each side....very tight, but it works. I have a long garage so length is not an issue.

Im also lucky as I have racedeck tiles and the center border area is exactly where the outside of the tires end, so once I make it through the door, I just pop my head out the window and ride the edge of the tile into the garage so I am perfectly straight. So far.....no mishaps, works perfect.

wow. thats tight. ida thought youd had a little more on the side. my door measures right at 95 inches to the molding. the raptor is reportedly 86 inches wide, so i figured 4 1/2 inches on the sides with the mirrors in. glad im not gonna be doing that tap dance every day
