The former boss of BMW M has been in charge of Hyundai for the past few years and it’s making a big difference (and strangely Hyundais look much better than BMWs these days as well). So yeah, you’ll get smoked by a little SUV on the road but really who cares???
I love how comfortable the Raptor is and the one thing it does really well is being fast on dirt (as advertised). Actually it does everything really well besides fitting in parking spots (but I’m most likely the issue here).
Still in love with mine after 5,2xx miles in a month.

My Kia Stinger is quicker than our Audi S4. Kia/Hyundai isn’t messing around. Less expensive, quicker, better/more options and a better warranty. Definitely don’t get pampered at the dealership but other than that, it’s a great vehicle

A couple weeks ago, while entering the highway, a younger dude in a little hyundai SUV tried to overtake me and my 37 on the entrance ramp to I-70. I floored it (in sport mode) and he flipped me the bird as he easily overtook me (I guess I had that coming LOL).

Then this week I dropped off my truck for a warranty engine knock sensor replacement. They said it was a bad factory part, that the engine was fine. They gave me a loaner--a Ford F-150 XLT with the same 3.5L ecoboost engine. This loaner has 31 inch tires. I noticed that it is REMARAKBLY faster in acceleration than my 37. This loaner would smoke my 37 in a drag race. I am sure some of this has to do with tire size, but am concerned that there may be other issues.

Any comments? For you others who have a 37, what's your experience with acceleration?
If youre geuinly worried about other things that could be wrong with the truck causing the loss in HP/speed feeling, get a proper SAE 0 to 60 timer.

Install it on the truck, and properly warm up the engine, tires & trans, and in sport mode 4A, do some proper launches, brake torque it if you need to.

If the 0-60 time isn't close to what is advertised, then be worried. Sea level vs 7800 ft. Colorado elevation levels also matter btw... 0-60 advertised times are at sea level.

Also higher *do to Hunter as well.

Agreed, tho i also notice a difference with 89. Its got more snap when you fill w 93. I was in NYC today( breifly than k God) i saw a gas station with $5.85 premium. Yikes.
93 ultra Premium is about ~3.60 here in Michigan.

Problem is, I feel like there are so many scammers. Last night, went to a BP, not my usual gas station. Filled up with their 93, and my trucks fuel economy tanked. The range to empty was dropping like a rock in air.

Im not one to care too much about fuel economy, but I do look at it to determine if the fuel is good or bad. I can't really feel the 30-40 hp difference in 87 vs 93 too easly, but I can notice the fuel economy get worse.

I feel like so many gas stations scam the 93 users here in metro detroit, and just put 87 or 89 in the premium line and scam the customer. I think I got horrible fuel last night.

A way you can properly tell is looking at the octane adjust ratio, and if its not -1.00, or if it changes to a lower value, then you know you got bad fuel, but you can't really do that without a custom ECU.

I might just have to get some octane booster shots, and add a vial on every fill up, just to get close to -1.00 with a guess.

I don't even want to reply to this topic...

but I aint had my coffee yet, so duck it.

Welcome to a truck. Trucks haul things, pull things and store things and get horrible gas mileage. If you are so inclinded to not get your *** whooped by a ducking foreign SUV, kindly purchase a tune, upgrade your intercooler and upgrade that boring exhaust. This should have you taking multiple people to gapplebees in no time.

When this works, do not come back here talking about, "my turbo blew up, my gas mileage, my license got revoked."

Thanks,

Management.

Idk what this guy is talking about. The truck is fast for something its size. It gets up to 90 pretty quickly. Its the fastest and smoothest shifting truck Ive ever owned. Large tires are a huge waste of power. If youve driven and worked on rigs for any amount of time its evident. But if yr a dentist whos coming from a kia telluride to a 37 raptor cause you overpay dropping 100k thinking you were going to purchase dominance, wake up call inbound.
