Oh sweet Jesus! :drunk:

As far as how I plan on using the truck: The truck will mostly be used on road but I do plan on Raptoring off road as well. I live in CA and off roading in CA is like most things in CA, over regulated and more difficult than it should be, so my off roading will pretty much be reserved for road trips and camping trips with the family.

From what I've seen here I think the CAI and a tune is absolutely on the list. Not sure about the exhaust yet. Any advise on the CAI?

If you are on pavement which you seem to be then you don't really need the headers and tubes....just order 5star tuner from Mike (5Star vendor on here) and get a CAI module.

That's it- will give you plenty of sound. Performance wise the engine is plenty powerful as is however talk to StainlessWorks they are very helpful with questions on sound etc....

I have a Volant CAI and the sound is perfect for me. But for more power you'd need to talk to the guys who do this for a living and see what you can do.

If you are on pavement then I would go with cosmetic mods like the vinyl work, LED lighting, tires and wheels....depends on how deep your pockets are with that.

You don't need suspension upgrades for camping though- don't waste the $$

why HD for a screw? just curious as i am doing springs in the spring hopefully and i am curious as to why HD. just because the weight? i was planning on the HD anyway but for no other reason than because i trailer and haul things occasionally

So after talking to some people about the SD and HD springs, and non-loaded bed ride, they say it's a rough ride, but not bad, just stiffer in the rear. Most if not all of those that said that have SCabs. They say the springs don't ride super nice until you have about 300 to 500 lbs of weight in the bed...the weight difference from the SCab and SCrew is about 200lbs...mine with an empty bed, rides pretty damn close to stock, with an extra person or a little bit of weight in the bed, rides like a dream. Just my 2 cents.

On topic, the things that have made a big difference are:
- rear springs
- 5 Star Tune
- Bakflip
- bumpers and lights

I got the RPG HD Nationals and it's one of the best things I've done to the truck, should have done it sooner. I have a screw and have 100 lbs in the bed and the ride is much smoother on and off road. I towed a 4,000 lb trailer no problem and the rear dropped less than 1 inch with that much weight. You will be happy with the HD springs and at mid perch it sits almost level with the rear just a bit higher.
