Muffler Delete Question

Just to make sure everyone understands, I’m the guy that thinks most of the “performance” mods for this truck are a waste of money except for a tune. I have things for longevity and sustainability of the truck and power like aftermarket IC and catch can etc. I don’t have an CAI or BOV or other BS. Again, just trying to see if people had good results at a muffler/exhaust shop in comparison as the AWE 2FG has been the best sounding IMHO. Sounds stock still just a little bit louder.

Then u will prob like the magnaflow option as well. Another option I heard that I've considered adding to mine for a few hundred bucks is replacing the stock resonator with 2 vibrant ultra quiet resonators. Creates a true dual configuration. Slightly more aggressive sounds while still preventing drone and rasp..... its sort of the same idea as the awe 1fg. Just much cheaper if u don't mind cutting into your system.

Don't waste your money or time. I've heard every exhaust and exhaust mod on Gen 2s...They all sound like crap. I had a buddy go through 3 exhausts to finally put the OEM back on. The Gen2 are awesome, but they sound like shit and nothing will change that.

I cut off the stock tips and installed a couple cherry bomb short mufflers in their place, everything else is stock. Nice an quiet cruising around but you can still hear the exhaust during spirited driving, definitely took the edge off the noise though.

It looks like exhaust cutouts are coming back to life again and some are high tech.

Cutouts before the muffler to TUNEABLE SuperTrapps dumping out in front of the rear wheels but tucked up to be barley visable.

SuperTraps will handle all the power that you can throw at them, plus you can tune them by the amount of disc`s used
