$85 for a dealer fuel injector cleaning? Really, my dealer wants close to $300 2 do a injector cleaning. R you quoting a dealer price directly? Me needs 2 know how much 2 beat up my dealer here in on the east coast.

The dealers in my area recommend cleaning the intake track every 25k-50k miles and the cost is in the $200-$300 range. This is because of how much oil goes thru the pcv system on new trucks. The procedure is similar to doing seafoam treatment except they use BG products.

I choose to do things a little different on my truck to avoid the big cleaning bill. I use a oil catch can on the pcv system to prevent most of the oil from getting into the intake track. Then every 10k miles I run 2 bottles of BG44k injector cleaner in a 36 gallon tank of fuel and run to empty before filling again. In my area you can only get the BG44k at the dealership and it cost about $25 a bottle at the parts counter.

Thanks Pat, now I wonder if if this air intake service can be performed on a supercharged system. I ran mine without a catch can for 9 months and I've seen some ugly pics of intercoolers full of gunk.
I'll have to get in touch with Whipple to see if it's OK to do.

The injector cleaner you can buy on Amazon if you just want to clean injectors.
Unless your under warranty and don't want any problems just let the dealer do it.
I see cases where you can burn out cats and other problems can arise after a professional cleaning.
