Waiting for holiday sales. Have the gen 1s installed and a set of alpharex novas.. but I think I'm ordering these soon

Ohh I like the Morimoto a LOT better over the AlphaRex. The AlphaRex have a ... well "weird" pattern I call it. It's not as clean a cut-off and has a "boob" effect, so I call it anyway. If you've ever shined them against a blank wall, you know what I mean.

We just put the Morimotos on our demo truck a few months ago. Gonna swap them out for the new Gen2 as soon as they arrive to us. The quad lows now should be AWESOME. They were awesome before, but even more awesome now. The startup sequence is neat but I feel you'll forget about it after a while, since the owner of a truck won't really see it. Will make for a cool remote start though as you walk up.

I love the look of the Moto’s but man the LED surround looks so bad with the individual leds. I would consider them if it weren’t for that.

Why can’t they make it as clean as the OEM one?!

You don't notice it when you are a few feet away. It's only when you are up close you see the individual LEDs

The cost of OEM really only matters in a scenario where your current OEM headlamps need to be replaced. No one is going to buy OEMS when their current OEMs work fine. If one of your lights are out, and needs to be completely replaced, then it still costs more to get a pair XBs than it does to replace a single headlamp...although the cost differential is much better.

It's a bit harder to justify than say getting a triple light kit. The Raptor doesn't have fog lights at all, and if you ever sell the truck, you can remove the lights and use them on your next vehicle, or at least sell them to a wider range of potential buyers since they are less vehicle specific. That said, I bet you could find a a buyer for the XBs without too much trouble as well.

All that said, these are pretty cool, and I can see myself picking up a pair in the next few months.

the pattern didn't look too bad on my wall. i run alpharex novas on my 4runner and they seem pretty awesome. then again the 4runner didn't need anything like additional harness like the raptor version requires. I agree the Morimotos are nice.. and they have gotten even nicer now.

The OEM LED lights suck on the Ford. It's tough to justify yes but if you ever drove a truck with XB headlights, you'd buy them in a heartbeat. It's a BIG upgrade in regular headlight lighting. The factory headlights SUCK, especially the high beams. It's an improvement over stock halogens, but the XB's are a big improvement over stock LED. The guys with regular F150s and stock halogen lights see a HUGEEEEEEEEEE improvement. OEM LED guys see a 2x improvement. With the new XB's however that's even more of an improvement.

No additional harnesses are required for the Raptors. It's plug and play.
