I've been sideways at 60-70 in the washes around phoenix and been perfectly stable. I'm not entirely sure how it would compare to the dunes, but the truck is crazy surefooted when sliding.

I agree, stable and very light steering wheel.. Even hitting small ruts/washes/rocks/etc while sliding the truck shrugs it off and continues the control chaos..

i dont think i have ever been in a forum with such awesome people. i thank you all for your response. in return if anyone here ever needs any help with their truck ( or any other vehicle for that matter) please let me know. i am the install manager at a car audio shop. we do all kinds of electrical work on vehicles. from hid, alarms, audio, etc..... please do not hesitate to ask

In addition to audio, there is probably a niche for alarm systems, since they don't usually come equipped from the factory

Nosbusa, I'm sure you've explored the Offroading thread here where many have shared their experience in various terrain.
As for snow, I've had a lot of experience at high or low speed wheeling or even driving - this truck performs awesome.
It takes a bit to get used to the 'nanny' controls Ford equipped it with - especially the high speed auto correct using the ABS - but once you've safely played with it to find the limits, it is a very capable truck in the snow.
