when i first ordered my truck i would of loved the EcoBoost in it but the more and more i think about it the less i like the idea i just not no if i can handle hearing the turbos spooled up trying to move this heavy truck i would also make the argument that svt is all about performance so it needs the v8 but i hear the v6 great acceleration and its lighter
Personally I'm over the EB Raptor thing. Ford talked big about a diesel F-150 by 2010 the LR 4.4L diesel is built at the same plant as the 6.7PSD. So I want to see the diesel in an F-150 finally.

The ecoboost is twice the engine that the 2 valve choked 6.2 is. You can upgrade the eco for way more power for way less than the 6.2.
I doubt you would hear much turbo from a stock truck. Throw on a intake and you would hear it for sure.

If you had a diesel you would pay at least a 3k premium when you bought the truck (even more if you financed the truck as far as interest) then at the pump you pay around 80 cents more per gallon and get 2-4 mpg better than gas.
Not to mention all the smog crap these days and maybe adding DEF fluid. Diesel no thanks! I only want a diesel in commercial truck. Consumer vehicles dont have a need for diesel 90% of the time.
Diesels run hot, they stink, they are loud as hell and have higher maintaince bills
Taurus SHO motor v F250 motor...? Hahaha!
This red herring display is only evidence of how poorly the 3.5TT performs in the current F150 models. FoMoCo marketing is trying to use a "Raptor endorsement" to hide a big f'up.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH You've given reasons to not want a diesel for 3 different diesels engines. The new 6.7PSD is not much louder then a gas engine because the common rail fuel system and new piezo fuel injectors. DEF is not that expensive and most truck stops now carry it at the pump. The 6.2 runs 93 octane most likely if the Raptor gets the EB it will get an more aggressive tune and will run on 93 octane. So you will see savings at the pump because 93 and diesel are about the same price. The 6.7 PSD uses 13 quarts of good ole 10W-30 and has an oil change interval of about 7500-10000 depending on conditions the truck tells you when to change your oil. And I do believe that all the 2010 6.2 owners paid 3K more for an equally optioned 5.4 truck. Also consider that Ford and Land Rover joined developed the 4.4L and the 6.7 PSD was originally a Euro motor that we took and adopted to the Super Duty. You can not compare the 6.7PSD to the International sourced motors that came before it.
