I am driving a 2013 XLT screw 4x4 eco loaner while I am waiting on my 2013 Raptor to be delivered. I am seeing 16.2 mpg and my daily drive is 40 miles round trip with speeds averaging 70mph. I averaged 14.2 in 2011 Raptor doing the same drive. The eco has no guts and to me feels like it has no torque. If I had the option of the 6.2 or eco in the Raptor, I would pick the 6.2 every day. Not to mention the sound of the eco motor is horrible. Definetley a V6.

The best performing truck in Ford's F-150 lineup is reportedly the one with the EcoBoost motor. Even better than the 6.2 in terms of 0-60.

I drove 4 different f150 screws last week with different motors in them 5.0,5.4,6.2 and eco boost and we even lined the ecoboost and the 6.2 up against each other and the 6.2 was substantially faster in the distance we ran them and to 60 also. All 4 trucks were 4wd screws just different trim levels

I DO THINK ITS Funny how all the dealers are obviously making it a point to issue raptor owners ecoboost trucks! Lmao, I'd rather my crappy gas mileage!!

Ecoboost is a whole different ball game with a tuner installed. However I just cant get use to that V6 sound. Just doesn't feel like it belongs in a truck.

That is difference in cost for EB ver 6.2 I don't know the numbers but I heard the up charge for the EB was kinda high. Maybe with the fact that the Raptor is already one of the highest price point F-150 Ford maybe concerned with having to add the EB to the base number. Second I've never have had a turbo engine last as long as a V8

I can confirm with relative certainty that there will not be an ecoboost engine in the 2013 raptor

I can also tell you that there will not be an ecoboost engine in the 2010, 2011, 2012, or 2014 raptor either!
