Hey everyone! Just wanted to share what I've been working on and see if any of you have input on the bracket itself and any changes you might suggest.

Let me know what you think!

First picture is a render of the brackets. There are left and right versions that match the curvature of the bumper.

This is on the truck with a pretty large 6 LED light equivalent in weight and size to a Baja Designs LP6. Tested them in -20*F and have had zero issues with durability and strength using a PA12-CF material. Super lightweight but extremely durable.
Bracket is designed to fit flush against the bumper with accommodations for the factory rivet nuts.

It looks good. The material choice is good, and it is strong enough not to require your holes to be sleeved, which is nice.

My OCD says tighten up that internal curve to the bumper.

Depending on the area you live in you might want to switch from Torx to a Secruity Bit screw head.

What printer did you use to print these? Keep up the good work!

All great points!

I really wanted to sleeve the holes but decided to test first without and redesign if I found the material lacking. Main concern without a sleeve would be end users over tightening the bolts and splitting the bracket.

Also my plan all along with the internal curve was to match the factory but felt it was adding too much material without any benefits in my simulated stress tests. That and I plan to have some brackets CNC’d out of aluminum and would have been more expensive. I might still close the gap if it doesn’t add too much in cost.

Definitely agree with security hardware if I leave the truck somewhere less than friendly.

As for the printers, I’m using the X1C from bambu labs. A few mods done to keep the camber temp above 60c. Otherwise really good printers!

Appreciate the feedback! If you want some to test out I’m willing to send some over for free.
