Used the Raptor to tow the RZR down to Cameo Cliffs today. Did the tight UTV trail (too narrow for Jeeps) and then went out to Agate Point to collect a couple, and then to the Wilson Arch overlook for lunch. Beautiful day.

Put the Raptor to work and towed the RZR up to the road that goes to Hey Joe Canyon. We took the RZR all the way to the Hey Joe mine area. Our Turbo S RZR is wider than a standard RZR and it just fit in a couple of places. This trail has turned into a RZR or quad or bike trail. I think you might be able to get a TJ Jeep through, but a JK or JL Jeep might have some body damage and be REALLY close to the edge of the trail and possibly fall into the river in several spots. That combined with the dense growth that crowds the trail and will cause some serious pin striping (it did even on the RZR) and you have a challenging trail.

However it is Raptor friendly down to the Green river and the entrance canyon is beautiful. Once at the river, just don't go too far either north or south (south is a better trail, Hey Joe Canyon is north).

After a couple of years of not wanting to do it, we decided to do Moab Rim. It has gotten a little tougher over the years (or I have gotten softer) and it is a very off camber trail with some really good size ledges. We did it with David and Lois and their new Jeep with 40" tires. I did have to be spotted at several places, but really had no problems. A couple of places were so off camber that I really was not happy, but we survived. Probably won't do it again for several years. However, once on top the scenery is great and the trail is fun. Too hot today to hike to the Petrogliffs but we did most of the mesa. This trail is NOT Raptor friendly.

Took the Jeep and did Metal Masher today. As usual some interesting ledges to climb. Beautiful day, and because this is the first long weekend that Moab has been open this spring, quite a few people on the trail. Had lunch at the highway overlook. This is NOT a Raptor friendly trail.

We did the 4 Arches Trail today, and we found all four. Last time we did it, we didn't find them all. The first two are pretty easy, the third one you do not see sky, just the next fin through the hole, and the last one you can only see the shadow on the rocks below.

If you don't go too far past the arches you can do it in a Raptor (google 4 arches trail for location of arches). About a half mile past the arches it starts to get pretty rocky and some ledges, go as far as you dare.

We did Dome Plateau yesterday. Right away we saw some cool wildlife. Then climbed up on the plateau and went to a great lunch spot overlooking Castle Valley. Coming back we skirted the north side of Arches National Park and went by the abandoned mine area. We discovered a new "hole" in the ground. Beautiful day.

This time we did it in the Jeep, but this trail can be done with the Raptor (we did it last time). There are a couple of spots that you will have to be careful and have a spotter help you.

I was able to get out there again last week. Spent some time behind the airport (best place to run the raptor at high speeds, wide, soft washes and some very good 4x4 trails and miles of soft sand). The trail to Bartlett canyon is a lot of fun and has some really good fast sections.

I also ran Hoorah pass, down to Jackson's hole and out through Chicken corners. I didn't feel like the raptor was really taxed, I think it could all be done in 2wd if you were determined.

And got to spend time at an old copper mine near Moab where my Great Grandfather worked. Pinstriping is inevitable going in here even in a jeep, but I don't really baby my truck and I know how to use a buffer.

Where is that copper mine located? I don't think we have been there.
