2018 Leadfoot Screw, been having shifting issues when the transmission was cold, usually evened out as it warmed up. Last week the transmission would essentially freeze between 1 and 2, the torque converter would just spin, then CLUNK - it would go into 2 or 3.
It still smoothed out after warm-up but was just terrible until then, basically un-driveable.
Took it in for a TCM remap by dealer and she called me later to say "Nope, needs to be replaced."
$7300 and change for a "new" transmission, it will take 2 weeks to get done - no warranty, the extended warranty died last month.

Love this truck, but transmission after just 65K miles?
She said I tow too much, though it's just a 19ft Airstream, about 4K pounds all together.

Not sure if I just go with the Bronco Raptor now, they have one in black (hate that color), or just fix it and whine.

Have you thought about a second opinion? Sometimes people are lazy.

IMO, the 10 year mark is kind of the ‘breakover’ point when I start evaluating whether or not the vehicle is a keeper or if upkeep is really worth it. Unless it’s been a problem child. If you get the latest/greatest iteration of the 10R80, you should be GTG going forward.

Dance with the one who brung ya.
