I spoke to Frankie at Milltek today and they are developing the Gen 3 Raptor and Raptor R exhaust in the next couple weeks. They have a Gen 3 V6, but still need an R for development. They need said vehicle for a Monday-Friday in Knoxville, TN. The owner will receive the first production valved exhaust free for their time. Could be a good opportunity for someone local to them. 865-233-8918 ask for Frankie or John

I bought their exhaust for my S8 I had one on previous S8 had fitment issues and couldn't get them to respond to me whatsoever. I hope they make something cool but for the money support should be top notch.

I had them install my exhaust on my 2003 Audi S4. It sounded great and fit almost flawless. One of the tips was a bi low, but nobody aside from self ever noticed.

Went down to test drive the Prototype exhaust today. It sounds amazing. Baja mode really is an improvement without sounding like high school straight pipes. Quiet mode was just a touch louder but still super quiet for freeway cruising. They are going to experiment with adding resonators as an option and will decide on that after more testing. Doing a video etc on Monday then it will be sent off for the production run. Will post more later but they will have a video on their site at some point. Tips will be black ceracoated but can be polished if you want them IMG_5379.jpegIMG_5380.jpeg

I am not sure why all these exhaust companies do all this fancy crap with extra pipes curving around and bypassing mufflers, etc.

Just make a nice H pipe setup that works with the factory servo to control exhaust modes and run baffled mufflers with resonators. Nothing sounds deeper, like the old 5.0s with off road H pipes and flow masters. Or if you want to do an x pipe then you can run a straight through design like magnaflows as to minimize rasp.

All these x pips or bypass pipes with baffles mufflers will create rasp.

I’m hoping the milltek sounds better than the Borla or Magnaflow. I had one of their systems on an old V8 Audi S4 and that sounded fantastic.

They have an H pipe with this system. You can see it in the pic. It does sound really good. Made from all 304 stainless. I do not know what the other R exhaust brands sound like other than stock. Videos are not the same as in person either of course. They use the same valves that ford uses also from same supplier. No codes thrown etc etc.
