Ok so I know there are a lot of threads on here explaining that you need to go to top perch on the stock suspension to fit 37's safely up front.

As we all know, top perch affects the ride quality and stress on CVs and also isn't recommended for 2012-13 years. So, is there ANY way to keep the front at mid perch while running 37's? (assume the truck is offloaded hard and running Method wheels)

First Option (Running stock front fenders) - I've seen a few people trim down the OEM plastic flair and OEM metal fender to clear 37's. Is there any way to leave the truck at mid perch and just trim the fender down more so 37's fit?

(Also a question somewhat unrelated to this post - Does anyone know if Boatec or Outlaw inner fenders can be modified to fit with stock fenders?)

Second Option (Running Boatec or Glassworks front fenders/inner fender liners) - So if I do swap the fenders out for glass, what is in the way of me leaving the front at mid perch? What could happen to the truck if I do leave it at mid perch?

Another reason why I want to stay away from top perch is, having 2" rise and 2" wide glass fenders give the Raptor a super raked/prerunner look, I do NOT like/want this raked style look and I think mid perch should minimize that (correct me if I am wrong).

Forgive me if this has already been covered, this is my first post and I've read tons of similar threads but never quite got this question answered.

I just ordered 37s and I'm running stock wheels and equivalent to mid perch. I'm not a fan of the glass fenders, don't like the look and have seen some horrible fits. Not sure how bad, if any, the rubbing will be for me. I've already hammered out my fenders and I am pretty much prepared to gut the entire inside of them if needed to make it work without going to glass. If it comes to that, I will have a custom glass liner made.

Will keep you posted as my tires are going on early next week

Thanks for the reply.

If I go 37's I think I will be swapping out the stock wheels for some Methods, this will probably only amplify the rubbing issue. (I don't like the look of only front glass either)

Bump to see if anyone else can help. Would like to keep stock fenders if I can, willing to trim the crap out of them.

Anyone know if adding 2" rear deaver springs would help with the front glass flair leveling issue (if you were to stay with top perch front)?

What 37s did you order? Not all measure the same. Guys with stock wheels and BFGs seem do be doin' alright with just the mid-perch. But BFGs measure closer to 36 than 37 inches.

Edit: Never mind. Just saw your post in the other thread.

Yeah BFG A/T seems to be like 36.3". Haven't ordered tires yet but would like to fit some that are closer to a true 37. Just want to see my options on what people have done with their fenders. I did find this thread and you are correct everyone seems to fit BFGs (36.3) mid perch even on methods on OEM fenders without too much trimming.

Also, keep in mind that if you go with a wider tire and/or a different offset wheel it will greatly increase the chances of rubbing. Go out and turn your tires to full lock in both directions. It will start to give you an idea of how much of a difference a wider/taller tire and offset wheel would make.

if u run the smallest 37" tire which is probably the bfg at's that will be the safest way to go. u still may have some rubbing in certain situations tho especially with methods. they are 0 offset and the stock wheels are 36mm
