How are your folders structured? FAT32 can be slow if you have a lot of files in a single folder...

My drive has:
Music
-Artist
--Album
-Artist
--Album
--Album

with the songs for a particular album in the correct folder.

I only have about 6000 songs, but mine seems reasonably snappy.

I have the same structure that you listed above. Like i mentioned, the old crappy sync in the 2011 handled it MUCH better. Frustrating!

MFT = POS. It freezes. It randomly turns off. It has a mind of its' own some days. Yes, it has been updated. Yes, I've talked to the dealer. They don't care. They wanted me to leave it with them for 3 days so they could "replicate the malfunction". Bull. I'm not leaving my truck with the dealer for 3 days so a tech can drive around hoping the radio malfunctions. It's garbage and Ford knows it....

Hey, know what takes really long. Enable the voice command for any of your saved favorites. I think it takes like 2 minutes to tell you its enabled and the screen is frozen while you wait.

Did anyone had that you shut down your truck to get the mail (being listening to SiriusFM), turned it back on half a minute later and it started playing the USB flash drive?

Mine does the switch to USB thing every few days...

It still does the random steering wheel, dash, & touch screen buttons completely stop working.. but I figured out if you use the voice commands when it happens, it's like the Fonz giving it a hip check, and it all starts working again.

What a ******* pile of shit..

I just turned OFF the option to index Bluetooth devices in the Media Player settings. That speeds up the browse and voice command response considerably.

I turned off the auto phonebook update option and that seemed to make it a tad faster. But still not as fast as my 2010 system. Its almost painful to use.

Also this system is not as loud as my 2010 150 system. Seems strange that the system went backwards.
