just be careful of the box. over the years i have seen several woofers fall in those downfiring boxes. also check and try to find out why connecting the negative is causing problems.

Subs are held in with inset T-nuts on the inside of the box, w/ epoxy to stop them free spinning. No screws to stip out over time. Only way to mount subs! :)

I'll be digging into the RCA and noise issue tomorrow to see what I can find. :finegrcrossed it turns out to not be an issue with the DSP.

2017 with no amplified system, Thank God! Didn't want to have to deal with dropping $500+ just to get clean signal RCA outputs.

I would pay an extra $1,000 to NOT have to do high level inputs. Love the ZEN. Good looking install. Nice work.

Keep in mind that the Dayton has their wiring colors all ass backwards compared to USA standard colors. You might have it hooked up all backwards if you followed the same colors.

Dayton DSP is absolute garbage. Went out and plugged in today and it won't load my settings. Profile I saved locally is completely default.

The RCA ground issue I can't figure out but going to guess a problem with the DSP itself. I think it's causing a ground short since the ground is also coming from the stock stereo. if I plug in an external RCA for a music player it's fine. Only occurs with the internal wiring.

The DSP is also pumping tons of noise into the system. With the truck on and the radio off here is the noise the RTA is capturing inside the cabin. If I unplug the RCA outs to the amp it stops, Unplugging the RCA's into the unit doesn't stop the noise, so it's noise being generated from the DSP itself.

The high pitch noise occurs when the system is still on and I insert the key into the truck. Caught it with the RTA. The 7k up is the noise as soon as I put the key in. Not sure where that's coming from but obviously it's from the truck and not the DSP.

I'm pulling this DSP out and sending that shit back. I even did the firmware update and that did nothing. So it's garbage and going back.

Simply mind blowing! It never ceases to amaze me what people are able to do with their vehicles. After reading so many posts about simple stock speaker upgrades this brings it to an entire new level, at least to me. People are afraid to cut and splice let alone 1/10 of what you have done.

I have a 18 with the B&O system and it leaves a LOT to be desired.

I am a simple 2 channel Mcintosh home stereo owner and I have done some upgrades, wires, Power Company distribution block ,dedicated single circuit etc. and the time I spent reading and learning about how to get the system set up correctly and upgrading leads, power cords etc.

The one plus is that Mcintosh factory repair center is about 2 miles from my house and I was able to learn so much from them but I'm still at the first grade level compared to you guys and what you have done

My hat`s is off to you, and I can't imagine how that system in your truck must sound, awesome
