4H is not for hard surfaces. Turning the wheel changes the speed of the front axle, which binds up the driveline and can cause damage.

I was doing 4wd typhoon donuts when something snapped. Since then I get this clunk only in 4wd.

Please enlighten me if there is an obvious answer to what broke!
What, pray tell, is a typhoon donut? Sounds like it's done on a slippery surface or you would have rolled.
