6.2 MBRP turndown exhaust

Great sound, easy install..

Until this morning when another Raptor pulled up to me at the gas station. We were looking over the trucks and he was asking about mod.

Went to point out nice shiny new exhaust.. Sum of a bitch the tip had gone AWOL! I know i tightened the dog snot out of clamps. So I wiggle hanger/clamp and the bastard is loose.. Guess hanging my lean mean 200+ lbs off the wrench was not enough..

Going to use impact on the sum bitch next time..

I contacted MBRP about getting a replacement tip.. Still waiting to hear back from them...

mine fell off also.. i tried to get one from MBRP and no answer. so i had to order this... not bad for $50 but if you take the part number you can find it for cheaper.. it goes around the outside of the exhaust and is tighter than a witches ***...RPM OFFROAD Diesel Performance - Dodge Cummins, Ford Powerstroke, Duramax Diesel Parts

Mine fell off as well during my test drive after the install. Luckily my test drive was late at night, and I had my windows down so I heard the bouncing of the tip off the concrete. I stopped and immediately tried to pick it up because I was in the middle of a road (no cars), burnt my fingers in the process, and reinstalled the next day.

Might be an issue with their kit! If 3 people had their tips fall off! And they don't respond to customer emails...

I just walked out to the parking lot to check to see if my turndown was still attached, this thread had me curious. Still there. I need to get under the truck this weekend and double check the bolts for piece of mind.

Sounds like there might have been an issue with tips falling off.. Here is the response from MBRP

Just something to keep eye out for and contact MBRP and with receipt they WILL replace the AWOL tip..

Yep... Guess another trip to White Star Industries to have the exhaust welded together..

good to know this now haha i'll be sure to get it welded on for extra safety when they start making the turndown kit for the 5.4L Screw's. they told me they're close to a finished product CAN'T WAIT!.
