The MBRP printed on the side faces outwards on the passenger side.

MBRP confirmed the muffler is not directional, it can be installed facing either way

I installed mine in the direction in the diagram. I did it because when you look under, you see MBRP. And if it doesn't matter which way, why would someone have to run it the other way? Just trying to understand the importance of the reasoning.

There is none, it’s just a note. If someone were to install it backwards from the diagram, it doesn’t matter. That’s all. It could be someone who does not want the mbrp logo visible for example.

So if the crappy 409 stainless corrodes into junk in year or two, I can just buy another and still be money ahead.

Unfortunately they only make aluminized steel version of it these days.
