Back on topic, I test drove an FX4 yesterday to just get a feel for the ecoboost engine and it had some get up and go, much more than my Gen1. Whether that is a good thing I don't know because I didn't buy this truck for its speed off the line. I am a fan of new tech and the new sync was light years ahead of what we have now and probably 100x faster to respond. Truck also felt bigger inside then mine. Obviously this isn't apples to apples but a good comparison between old and new nonetheless.

To end when will we see 2017's on the lots?

i had an fx4 with the ecoboost a couple years ago, yes, it does move. untuned it had a ton of lag thought and tuned it did fly and the lag was somewhat less noticeable but always felt like it was at the upper limits of what it could do. threw a rod with nothing more than a 5 start tune - a regular towing / performance tune. the new one will be interesting to say the least and i'm sure will have some untapped power to work with.

Confirmed for the Gen II this coming Fall. I'd anticipate the order banks opening in late June or July like the GT350 banks did (6/20 to be exact). Deliveries started last Fall for that model.

I agree, forced induction is always easier to pull more power out of.

To whomever said that Ford said anyone could would be able to get a raptor, was that not the case with the Gen1? Were buyers left holding their ***** because the supply wasn't there? I had no problem getting mine, albeit a year after they stopped production.

I'm on Tapatalk reading the "unread" posts. I don't know, nor do I care what section I'm in. I can post whatever and wherever I feel like it. I have very disturbing pics of Birdman that I've promised to keep to myself in exchange for free reign on this ****** site

It was really tough when they were first in production, a lot different of a process after 2012, shit, you couldn't even open a door and look inside, you bought and ordered sight unseen and no test drives unless you had an in with the dealership!

I couldn't imagine going through the buying process early on. My dealer handed me the keys to my eventual 14 and said go drive it. No questions asked, didn't even ask for my license or insurance info. I went on the test drive solo...

I don't need any of you yahoos validation...I know what I got...:lol2:

Call me a liar, whatever. I'm not the conformist, remember?

My oath is that I'll never post in the Gen I section. This is the Gen II section. I say something positive about the new truck, then this section gets bombarded with a bunch of Gen I guys bagging on me and the new truck. Just go enjoy your trucks why don't you? I'm looking forward to getting my Gen II, that's why I'm here and over at the Ecoboost forum.

If you, or any other here doesn't like to read my posts about the advancements of the Gen II over the Gen I, then just block me. It really is that easy. Please, BLOCK me and leave me the hell alone the bunch of trolls you are.

I will say however, that it's a vocal minority who just won't let it go. So much so that they followed me over to the Ecoboost forum and trolled the hell out of that board until they got banned over there.

You have no credabilty have fun posting being ignored by most. To back to your other place if it's so much better over there. Your probably never over there
