Too bad you can't get good enough gas to keep these things running like that with a tune and mods.

V8 6.2L don't care what it's drinking, it will perform. Ask me how I know. 'Cause Illinois has some of the shitiest gas around, and we can still turn good numbers.

Tune and mod a TTV6 here, and it will fail......

The bottom line is that the numbers are going to be significantly higher. I suspect it'll be north of 450 but if Ford has plans for over 500 hp....the 6.2 vs. Ecoboost argument is finished.

Lol, you are so lost in this debate if you think that is the qualifier for one over the other.

Either way, 6.2 is proven...since this is a "new" engine as I have been told on multiple threads, there should really be no case for it yet. Why back something so hard you've never even seen let alone driven in?

I can't say for sure as it's purely speculative obviously.. But today at the cleveland autoshow I was talking to the guys who work at the plant that is gonna build the 3.5 and when I mentioned 511hp the one guy got a very surprised look on his face. He mentioned he heard it be around the 430's.

The guy who seemed to be running the Ford section told me they're probably only weeks away from releasing specs.

Hard to think that Ford would still be trying to determine engine specs this late into the production of the new Raptor.

At this point they are probably working on manufacturing details.

Because Im being optimistic. If I was weary of every single new product on the market life would be pretty boring.

"Hmm that new flavor of sparkling water seems tasty but since its not proven tasty Ill let everyone else make reviews on it for about a year before I actually try it myself."

Constantly being negative towards new products just because they are not proven will not drive innovation.

I'm not negative towards it, more indifferent. Sparkling water at $3.00 a bottle vs $60k on a "let's give it a chance" seems like a bit of a stretch. A test drive should suffice enough to tell you yes or no...doubt a dealer will let you take it offroad to really test it out.
