Forever ago when I first got my truck I wanted the ADD Chase Rack. I thought it was the best design at the time and loved the fact that you could remove it if needed. I forget what they went for but I seem to remember them being expensive. So they other day I am cruising FB Marketplace and just on a whim I search "ford raptor chase rack" and this pops up 20 minutes from where I live. I message the guy and we arrange a time to meet. He was asking $400 which seemed like a bargain.

So I roll up in the Raptor and he's like "thumbs up" from his driveway. He's got a nice Terrain SuperCrew rolling on MT 37's and SVT beadlocks. The bed bolts are frozen (no surprise there) so he said I'd have to come back later. No worries, I'm not going to install immediately. He said he just removed but didn't have time to clean up so "the price just dropped." I was thinking I'd offer him $375 but then he said "$200" I couldn't hand him the money fast enough.

Overall its in pretty good shape for being in the bed of his truck ~10+ years. He included all the straps, the Action Packer, a VP fuel jug and a bed mat cut out for the mounting posts. I'm probably going to clean it up a bit and run it for a while. I have a new Action Packer and a Pro Eagle jack that I'll probably install. I've been thinking about running a chase rack on top of a bed slide for a while but I'd have to mod this to fit the slide so might as well run it like it is for a while and see how I like it.

I see from your avatar that your Raptor is already black? At that price, ( if your Raptor was another color), you could have had it powdercoated to match!
Totally! I might look at doing it in the same color as my Innov8 wheels. Pretty close to the factory fender flares. Not sure what It's going to take to get the old powder coat off!?

Your local powdercoater will have some hardworking guy assigned to sandblasting the old coating off. If they do a good job powdercoating it, it's only because  he did a very good job getting that shlt off it first. Let them know his work is appreciated and tip the dude a 20 spot if you can.
