Thinking about supercharging a 2014 raptor. So far all the dealership techs have advised against putting on long tube headers. They say the heat is causing major starter issues with a lot of past install.

I do believe that there is cause for concern about heat build up in the starter location, but is this problem really something that a guy is likely to run into?

any input would be great.

FWIW, On my S/C Mustang I had to actually grind part of the starter case for clearance. You can't get much closer than that. 3 years and no problems. Not sure how that translates to a Raptor.

We sell Kooks and SW ceramic coated which keeps the heat down a lot. If you want a deal, call us @ 443-730-9428!

I have had zero issues thus far but this is normal driving with an occasional mud hole.
