Correct all you need is the chartplotter. I got the transducer version of mine cheaper than the one with out it. Same unit, just left the transducer in the box.. lol

Sweet. Any one have any experience with lge cts motorsports mount? I'm assuming that the folding down would allow better street driving view when not in use. Can't find it on their website.

I have it for my Lowrance. But with the HDS Gen II unit the power cable makes it so that the fold down is pointless as it gets in the way. On your unit it will be fine and easy to flip down. I use the Lowrance all the time now so the fold down is pointless.

I went with the Larger HDS 7 Gen II Touch and love it. And have the East coast insight maps.
Thats what I just ordered up. Now that Gen III has come out, you can get them from West Marine for a decent price.... they had about 150 left in their east coast ********** when I placed my order last sunday. Cant freaking wait to try it out!
