Does the trophy have the same footprint as the other 5" units? If so I'm in!

Also what is the consensus on the 7M Gold? It says it has an internal GPS, is that good enough or do you need the external?

Comparing dimensions with the Elite 5m and Trophy 5m, they look exact and Outlaw said their mount will work with it. That was good enough for me.

We've been putting the Trophy on back order but this last time, it showed 2 in stock so we grabbed them. We are confirming tomorrow. I am now showing on the first post who paid in what order so as these trickle in those will get it first. BTW: I am first. :)

@Yunk the Junk, so if they ship, you get it.

I'm interested but just don't know what size. I need to be able to read it at a glance while driving since I don't have a good co driver. The installed nav screen was not readable.

So, seeking comments. The 7 inch model seems to be the best compromise. Opinions?

Unless you like seeing number info ie speed, distance, etc AND the map at the same time get the 5". That is the only reason to get the 7". B/C its no taller you are only going to see more of what is next to you, not in front.

Unless your thinking of the 3rd gen...

Can your buddy get good deals on maps? Heads up that Mexico isn't on the base map in the 5s...

Also, those getting 3rd gens might want to look into the optional video input. Could be nice having front and rear cameras on when doing the slow stuff... Just a thought.

Need the lowrance part number and can look it up. He has already gotten sick and tired of me contacting him all day and gave me the login info so I can do it myself under his account. Hehehe...

I see I got beat to the punch. But yes I ordered the hds 7 Gen 3 baja. I stumbled on that one in a list Rich sent me to try to get me to decide already! Called lowrance and talked a bit then went for it. FYI it has no baja maps. Just a name. Looks like I'll have lots of functions to figure out. Hey it even has auto steer. How cool is that? That sure would have been handy on Hells Revenge, eh?
