I’ve been having this annoying problem happen and I don’t know why. I’ll explain it best I can and maybe someone can tell me what they think it is or know it is.

I was driving down a road about 45-50mph, then I go to “get on the gas” a little and speed up. Gear drops into 5th and then my throttle goes out completely and slowly drops to 0 RPMs. At this point I can’t press the gas pedal, it does nothing for me, no response. Once I stopped (in the middle of the road) “Low Oil Pressure” light comes on and I have to put the truck in Park, turn it off, and turn it back on again, which the first ignition doesn’t work, so I had to crank it again and it turned on and I drove home fine.
This happened again a previous day once when I was driving about 40mph and the “Wrench” light comes up on my dash then it slowed down and the throttle response goes out slowly, then it actually kicked back in and it was fine.

If anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it please let me know.

My mods that may have any affect are:
SCT Performance 5 Star Tune
Pedal Commander (which I’ve turned off at this point, but it happened again)

Please let me know if you know what’s going on! Thanks.

Are you low on oil?
(really low, not half a quart or similar)

I checked dipstick for oil, I recently just got it filled up about a month ago. I’m no professional but I don’t think I have enough? I swabbed the entirety of the dipstick and all I got was this.

That’s not really the primary indicator, where was the oil level showing on the dipstick?

if you’re not showing oil in the range on the dipstick then yeah, you’re probably low. That would not be a good thing ( and, totally unacceptable for a $40,000 truck! ).

I just had the same thing happen to me on the highway. Hit the gas, pedal dies, low oil pressure warning, and indicator shows no oil pressure but truck still runs. Stoppped put it in PArk and restarted. Rushing to a meeting so can’t mess with it but won’t go over 4K rpms while in park. Not sure if that is normal or not

My 14 has done that a couple times too. Mine has only happened at very slow speeds tho. (pulling in to parking lot and backing up in driveway) I just went and got the oil changed so I'll let you know if happens again.
