So I ordered me a corsa catback exhaust and it's not quite as loud as I would like for it to be..so then I went ahead and removed the resonator in front of the muffler, it sounds a lot better now. But the question is what else can I do to make my exhaust louder without having to buying a new exhaust and without having to mess with anything cat forward. Thanks in advance!

Might want to run it a few weeks. I put a set of Borla on mine and thought the same. After about 2-3 weeks it is just right. Assuming there was some sort of glass packing to settle in. Not sure but really nice and throaty now. Unless you are looking for screaming loud. Then maybe a switch bypass valve to open it up when you want it to scream.

A CAI will make it sound louder., although technically that's "CAT forward".

Thanks! Maybe I'm just going to wait a couple of weeks and if it's still not loud enough I'm gonna try a cai. Any suggestions on who makes the best intakes?

LOL! That question is like asking who makes the best exhaust. Tons of opinions. I've read several threads here on the subject. I'm a newb so I don't have personal experience. I keep reading about Volant, Corsa. I'm personally leaning towards the Roush combo exhaust and CAI. I'm a sucker for brand names. :)

Yea I didn't just want to stick a ****** can on a $60k truck so I went with either corsa or borla and then ended up with corsa cause it got like a deeper tone to it but it turned out to be quite and only roar when you step on it! Like the quality and the 4 in topics awesome but at time it's quieter than the stock.

If the muffler you have has fiber packing in it, it will break down after awhile and it will get a deeper sound especially after a high revving off road run!
