Hey all!

finishing up a long job and am gearing up to take the raptor up to SLC and back.

mo real agenda other than bringing the girlfriend and the mastiff and do some photography of the wild horse herds out there.

Ideally a 4-5 day round trip.

Would love some recommends of things along the way.

If you're doing this in the next few weeks, the snow is going to put a damper on the off-roading in Northern Utah. You'll have better luck in Southern Utah--but should still check the weather before you head out.

The National Parks in Southern Utah are must see. Zion's and Bryce specifically. You'll have to go out of the way, but Canyonlands is also worth the diversion. Best off-roading in Utah is around Moab.

If you're a skier/snowboarder, just drive straight to SLC. Alta has the most snow (almost always) but without the luxury. Deer Valley is the luxury location. The Canyons is good.

For a fun day in the snow, go spend the night at Daniel's Summit hotel and rent some snowmobiles. It's about 45 minutes outside of SLC just past Heber.

If you had the time to kill you could probably go dirt roads and back roads from Bishop to at least the NV/UT border if not all the way to SLC.

Best advice? Make it a one way trip...
Take a good camera and fuel/ water. I'll be in Moab next week. Not sure yet if I'll have the Raptor. Probably just the utvs.
