My 2013 has a mirror that is loose on the driver's side. It shakes when driving. Not just the glass, the whole thing. I haven't tried to mess with it yet. anyone have suggestions as to where I should start? The local dealer looked at it and said they could take pics and try to get a claim but Ford usually denies mirrors, even if there are no scratches etc.

Take the door panel off, there are 3 12mm? Bolts that hold it on. Apply thread tape or lock tite and torque it down. I haven't figured out why the glass itself shakes. The door panel is super easy to take off. 4 bolts

The mirror part of the mirror sits in a plastic holder. You have to remove the glass by getting behind it and popping it out. It can take quiet a bit of pressure.

There's a good video for the new lights that someone has come out with that fit on the upper part of the mirror. It shows how it works. I'm not sure who's lights they are. Could be the whole mirror housing is loose on the door as suggested.

Thanks for the info, guys. It is solidly mounted where it bolts to the door. It is extremely loose where it pivots on the bracket (part mounted to door). I'll see if I can find the video.

My drivers mirror is also loose but I did smack a branch with mine. I haven't taken the time to get into it yet to see what it is.
I wish I could remember who did the video.
I know it was one of the lighting company's. you take the mirror off so you can replace the upper mirror housing off so you can replace that with one that has a strip or double strip of LED lights the you put it back together.
If you find it post it. I keep looking for it also.

It's not the same one that I saw but does show and explain the procedure on taking the mirror apart. The one I saw was the one that you replaced the plastic above the marker light with one that has a row of LED lights in them.
They showed a little more detail during the take apart but like I said this one gives you the idea.
