So i'm better off tapping into the rear or front speakers and need that hi/low converter.
I'm thinking one 12 would be good with a spot for the amp. What do you recommend as for amp sub wiring and anything else I need? How much am I looking at for the box?

there are 4" woofers available, but its probably not the way you would want to go. there is also the choice of replacing the oem woofer with a new box and woofer. this too, however loses the ability to fold the 1/3 seat up.

4" is better than none I'd imagine. Currently I don't even have the stock one. Store useful things under the rear seat (recovery gear, etc.). Typically look at things from a function perspective. Years ago I remember seeing some ungodly thin subwoofer'ish device (lol making up my own words) that could've fit under even the front seats. It's been so long, that I don't know much more info though.

do you want me to put a package together for you? or do you just want the box? if you just want the box, i would need to know which amp you plan on using

those things were horrible. it is going to be very difficult to put a small woofer in the rear doors. there will be a lot of fabrication necessary to make them fit and look decent.
