I'm thinking about getting a raptor. I currently drive a 2008 f150. Was wondering if 35" tires will fit on a stock raptor without a lift kit.

You should adjust the shocks to mid perch ($200-$300 if not done by yourself) if you are going to do aftermarket 35" tires. That is what I did.

Thanks for your help. I'm going to test drive one over the next 2 days and see how I like it. Was also wondering how well they can tow a boat? My F150 has a 6"lift and 35" tires with the 5.4L and when I pull our 226 nautique it is not easy. Going down the hwy it is ok, but if there is a slight hill the truck seems to have a hard time, slows down to about 45-50mph. I know the boat is a heavy load was just wondering how the raptor would do in comparison. I appreciate everyone's input.

here, on frf
morning..........

not a lot of towing power. remember this is an offroad truck, not a work truck. but my 13 crew has a 10k towing capacity.

I just pulled a 22 ft trailer 5 hours each way. The Raptor is not a towing truck, but it will get the job done. To tell you the truth, I hated having to use my Raptor to tow the trailer, but had a hell of a good time playing on the dunes once I got there. I think next time I will just throw a tent in the back and spend more time playing in the dirt!

I've towed a Nautique 230 without issue. Truck really feels solid on the road... in my opinion, better than any other 1/2 ton truck I've towed with. Should be an improvement over the 2008 F150.

Mine tows my 2003 Rubicon TJ on a dual axle carhauler up the mountains of Colorado with no problem other than sucking some gas. I'm pretty sure that seriously outweighs your boat.

I think you'll have an easy time.
