Good luck with the research and truck. A mileage discrepancy is certainly a big problem. The screenshot ad says he dropped $15k recently in upgrades. Does he list all the upgrades? You can't run 37s on a stock Raptor, so he would have had to make some suspension modifications/changes. You need to find out what those were.

I found the listing. No suspension mods which makes no sense for 37s and nowhere near $15k in upgrades. A few red flags already, I'd be really careful here.

I have seen this rig posted on Craigslist for the last few months now. It's not far from me, I considered looking at it but the original listing price was crazy to me, $75k. I could of sworn I saw this truck posted here on FRF just the other day. Good luck. Hopefully the truck checks out. I have a low mile 2014 SCAB I've considered selling, if interested.

If you could have someone look in person you could tell if it was truly a low mileage truck, basic wear items, underbody etc could be looked at. You couldnt tell a few k mileage difference based on that but you could a much larger discrepancy

Carfax was run…there is a red flag on their from the CA DMV…basically saying mileage is inaccurate, however I have his bill of sale from the previous owner. Owner is going to the DMV today to get the issue addressed. I dont need a issue on the carfax when i go to sell it.

Mileage is a huge red flag to me on a low mile car. When you have a high mileage car that has a lot of time to go to shops and stuff it can make a bit more sense, but not for 8500 miles. If it had 85,000 I could almost understand them taking it to the shop and someone fat ********* 95000 or something, but not 8500 miles where it would have been to a dealer twice max?!

Thanks guys. Ford PDI supported the mileage. Says it was the cleanest Gen 1 they had ever seen. Clearly had never been offroaded. They said they could put it on the showroom floor as new. Seller says running 37s on OEM rims is a problem but the tires are a neg 34 offset so no issues supposedly. Truck is wrapped and he wrapped the interior as well . I will go back to OEM size wheel and tires for sure. Not sure how long it takes to get the CA DMV to investigate the title issue but wont close on it till then. Also the 15k in upgrades very high. He got a Raptor R allocation from a friend in Oregon and that is why he is selling. I’m an auditor by training so my spidey senses are up but for 55k I’m going to stay in the process a bit longer. Need clean carfax for sure.

My buddy just came back to MI from 8 years in LA, there is nothing accurate about the CA DMV..... so they are probably wrong

@Wolf33pack, as a point of reference on recent low mileage Gen 1 sales. Both on BAT and both one-owner bone stock trucks. A 2014 with 80 miles sold for $81,500 a few weeks ago and a 2010 with 18,000 miles sold for $37,000 a month ago, so your truck falls right in the middle.
