It looked pretty awesome in person but the rear end must not have been done? Stock frame rails were still in place, untouched. No notches or anything? Would it be possible to run a rear setup like that with a notched/bed caged rear stock frame section?

That's the intent. Class 8 trucks have to keep the frames (for the most part). I've seen quite a few Class 15 trucks(pics) with the frames notched. Though obviously they put a lot of additional reinforcement back there. You go four link your going fully caged also. These frames flex to much to put a setup with 26ish or more travel in and not expect it to look like a pretzel when you beat it. haha

Well, was debating on saving up for a LT kit for early/mid next year, but ordered some 3.0s instead. Looks like a LT kit will be that next, next, next, next mod

Can these kits be returned to stock once installed with out major work?
