@oxfordraptor when's the next prairie city trip? Are you in the Citrus Heights area?

When ever you want to go. I'm in Roseville off Douglas. We should probably wait until after rain stops I imagine it's just a giant mud pit right now which means the track is most likely rutted up. Hit me up though when you want to roll.

Thanks for the welcome!

Paul busted his ass to get the shocks rebuilt and installed on my truck. I decided on the flutter stack mod as well, but wish I also considered the schrader valve mod to check on the nitrogen pressure. I drove up to Adam's place on a Monday and we knocked it out in about 4 hours, stopping to take some calls for my "real job" in between.

It was interesting to discuss the different Fox 2.5 designs Paul and his guys have seen over the years doing these rebuilds. It seems the design was tweaked a bit each year. We did run into one issue where there was a small gouge on the inside of the shock bypass tube... but we came up with a highly engineered fix (ahem, JB weld).

We didn't worry about the aesthetics of the shock, so no paint/wrap was done, but the truck rides great on the "new" shocks.

Good luck with your shock install!

Glad to hear that, also I am thinking about selling my shocks here on the forum rather than sending then back for a core. I will clean them up and give it a shot. the fronts are from my old 2011 Scab with 46k miles and the rears are 57K from my current 2013. I am sure some will pay $800-$900 for spare set.
