Did a South Florida to Dallas trip in my Gen 1. Would of driven to California or another far state if I had the time.
We winter in Florida and came up for our delivery in February after a 20 month wait. My wife drove it straight home for almost 800 miles and loved it! Now I have to hide the Key Fob
Take it. I bought a Raptor (non R) specifically for long road trips that I take fairly frequently. Super comfortable, safe, fun and roomy.
I assume if you can afford a Raptor you can swing the cost of the extra gas.
I've done multiple cross country trips in my Gen 1 and my buddy's Gen 2. One of them pulling a 28ft enclosed trailer and all of them with 2-3 adults and lots of gear. None of us has had better road trip vehicles. The miles just disappear.
