I was told that there is a service they use to auto populate Autotrader with any vehicle going to them. Seem quite a few use the same service.

Based on what I've heard from many dealers Ford controls what shows up on the dealer's websites. Each dealer website might have a different look and feel, but Ford manages the backend system. Once it's marked as built it shows up. And since a preorder isn't technically "sold" until the buyer pays for it and takes delivery they almost all show up online at one point or another. And a large number of dealers also seem to be linked into autotrader.com and cars.com so once Ford builds it, it shows up there too.

Your dealer can give you an ETA date. And I've heard it does but my guy assures me it doesn't cause they do it on the line... so idk who to believe

Chatted him today. He says built (which I knew), released but hasn't left the plant yet. Not sure what that means in terms of ETA but am thinking a couple of weeks at least...

Like my dealer gave me my Vin build date and eta delivery date... which was 20 days after my build date. If he could get that I figured all could.. could be wrong though

My sales guy hasn't given me a date - originally when he gave me the VIN, he accurately gave me my build date and thought two to three weeks after that.

I'm headed out of town for two weeks on Sat. so it was wishful thinking on my part to take delivery this week. Given I'm reasonable close to Dearborn, thought there was a shot!

Not long now though...

Just wanted to say thanks again to photoneffect for raptorfinder. Used some of the data around builds with CF + BL and sent screen shot to my sales manager who poked the regional rep hard enough or often enough or both to finally get me scheduled.
