Replaced the stupid Ford Sync in my 2017 Raptor with Linkswell Gen 2 system. Also added Lowrance offroad GPS. Plug and play. Did myself in afternoon.1ec9f86b12f8449231453074358c749a.jpg

Here’s the important question, when using CarPlay, can easily you turn off your heated steering wheel without taking your eyes off the road.. ;)

When you use a system like the linkswell, do you and only you have access to all the data from your truck? Or can ford see it too? Been waiting to see an aftermarket system that gives the user full access while keeping other out. Might sound crazy, but systems like on-star, and synch are always on and susceptible to intrusion.

How is it? pros/cons? Lose any functionality?
Everything works great. Heated wheel, seat ac and warmer. Everything is touch screen now. I have Verizon jetpack setup for continuous internet.

No more Ford spying on me. You remove the whole freaking system in a few seconds.

I hope it works well for you and that it is better than the Phoenix stuff. I bought into the hype here and purchased a Phoenix unit. Biggest piece of junk I have had the pleasure of owning. Constant issues. You lose some factory knobs, which, turns out, I really missed, and the lower half of the screen is useless, at least for me. It did look badass though and passengers were always intrigued.

I have gone back to stock and added an 8" android tablet mounted above the factory screen. Bluetooth the audio from the tablet to Sync and done. Certainly not as slick looking, but miles ahead in ease of use. It would have been even simpler if Ford had put a damn headphone type jack in the system.

I am not a super techy guy, so maybe that's where the shortfall comes.

Do the cameras operate as they did before? Are you getting the same integrated warning beeps and such?

You mention that sync, is gone...is it completely removed?
