Never had Line X , not sure whats on my 2013 Raptor from the dealer, but this is my Dodge Ram from a local no name guy and yes it fades inside 6 months to grey. Now they do sell you a kit to get that black sparkle back which I have done but you have to do it every year. Simple to apply with a sponge.
Look at this pic. I was reduing the bed and had to stop, an emergency came up. Look at the front vertical section, you see the Black Sparkle brand new effect. That was done. The rest was not.
If I had to do anything I would try the Line X and stay away from a no name.
