I would learn a little trigger discipline before you hurt someone. Sorry a big issue for me. Keep your damn finger off the trigger unless shooting, I assume you weren't blasting holes in your walls!

Back to spray on topic!

It is important to note that Line-X has good tolerances generally <1/4" for fittings even in the higher end applications. Thicker is not always better and for that I agree.

To make two other points:

-Line-X has a lifetime warranty at all levels of their BED applications, so no... I have already looked into Body Armour and other apps and that is not lifetime warrantied.

-To make a point for Platinum (b/c I was definitely trying to get a full Platinum treatment to Rockers, Wells, Bed) the actual chemical composition of Platinum is different than Reg/Prem that Platinum bonds much Better than its predecessors. The Platinum polyurea molecules are much smaller, a large improvement over the other liners that make it better bonding, hence a property that makes it stronger too.

^Yeah well to each his own.

Guess some people like to use their trucks differently. I use my truck as a work truck, DD, and range truck, but I think its safe to say that any guy calling himself 9mm would rather cut corners and save that extra $$$ for ammo.

And yeah... guess I must not know too much about firearms as well... :gunner:

^It's a picture for my friends, besides if you look closely there aren't any magazines inserted. No offense, but been shooting all my life and I ain't ever been so **** about that stuff 'cause ammunition is always stored in a separate location.

*P.S. Qualified E/E Navy Shooter & S/S Marine Corps Qualification standards. Trust me firearm safety is important but no need to do the callout.
---

As far as the thread goes though. If I had to just straight up say it, my best piece of advice is to Buy Once, Cry Once. The Platinum will be there long long (but so will the Premium) after you either decide to sell the truck or you pass on the keys to your kids. In the end, you're going to have to decide if you want to toss some heavy gear or equipment in the back with little worry about anything but the gear - Buy Platinum.

I believe they use Rhino.

No, that's incorrect.

The company that applies the bedliner for Ford is Ground Effects, Ltd. (GFX). Google search and you will find them. Last summer (2012), LINE-X acquired GFX, but the bedliner is not a LINE-X product due to contracts that are in place. The bedliner product comes from Ultimate Linings. Now, when those contracts end...

GFX also applies the bedliner for Dodge, some Toyota's, and the upcoming 2014 GM crewcabs.

Quality it good, the product is similar to standard black LINE-X. But, the factory liner is half as thick as an aftermarket LINE-X bedliner and the factory bedliner only comes with a 3 yr/36K warranty as opposed to LINE-X's lifetime warranty.

So time for my $.02

During the week that I bought Wally, I began doing an extensive call through of all the Line-X dealers in SE/E TX for the availability of Line-X Platinum.

After about 3 hours of calling around and searching online I found zilch. Line-X Platinum was to drop July 2013 but truthfully most dealers even at this point will be getting the new nozzles and mixes for Platinum anywhere from now till January (in MD).

Anyways, here's a quick break down:

Standard LINE-X; XS-100

"...a polyurethane/polyurea blend, is the most widely used formulation. It exhibits excellent protective benefits along with economy. It has a textured finish and excellent elongation. This version is the most widely used because of the wide range of applications and is suitable for 90% of industrial applications. It remains flexible from -40 degrees to 220 degrees F and can be stretched to greater than twice its original shape (115%) before breaking..."

---
Line-X Platinum; XS-330

LINE-X has improved spray-on bedliner protection at the molecular level. LINE-X Platinum uses a pure polyurea technology that combines strength and flexibility to create a product with superior toughness making it the next generation of spray-on bedliner performance. Platinum is 300% "tougher" than Premium and is available in fade resistant black or color matching. If you're reading this, I challenge you to find a tougher bedliner coating!

---
Line-X 350; The Real Stuff/SHTF/Working-Man

Like its sister product XS-310, XS-350 is a pure polyurea coating with high performance physical properties perfect for applications beset with chemical damage or extreme impact and abrasion. XS-350 is very insensitive to moisture and can be seen widely used in the wastewater industry.

:GetMoney: ^This is what I have, if you have any questions ask. It's better than Platinum and I got my bed sprayed w/ UV Stabilizer for $749 (w/ tax)

I know quite a bit about Line-X in general and have been on the sidelines listening to the arguments between Polyurea and Polyurethane liners from:

Speedliner, Rhino, Scorpion, and Line-X; I'm biased as hell but I can say the application processes are different but so far Line-X is my #1 choice because it does not kill the environment...

I've always been a huge fan of Line-X and my new truck will have the Platinum because my buddy owns the place and I get a pretty decent deal but I do believe 99.5% of people here would have never had any problems with the toughness that the Premium offers.

Is the 350 something that most dealers offer? I need to have some containers lined for durability and am interested.
