The dipping looks like an interesting option (turned out nice!).... Where are the $900 quotes coming from?! What all is included? I was quoted $1400 here in Houston for the flares, front/rear bumpers, rear wheel wells, and a bedliner. All in premium. That is with a body shop doing all of the labor (removal/installation of bumpers and flares) while performing the mid-perch and alignment on an additional bill. It sounds like I am getting screwed!!!! Any recommendations are welcomed for sure!

The way I look at it you could always do the dip and see if you like it. If you like it then you have the choice to leave it or peel it off and do the linex. Linex is permanent so if you end up not liking it your screwed. Definitely linex premium in the bed btw.

The LIne-X shop near me just quoted $475 w/ tax for the bed. I honestly do not know if premium or not, thinking not based on some of thee other quotes.

When I asked about wheel wells he said $125 each but cannot do in Line-X. has to do a rubberized undercoat. I'm going for the protection and black out within the well (Silver SCrew) so I'm not sure it matters. I am actually thinking of trying the Plasti-Dip first even though I know it will need to be "touched-up" a few times a year.

I mention only to see if anyone else got this response. I'm in Colorado. maybe that makes a difference?

Called back to ask about the wheel well issue. Turns out he doesn't have a rack to get the truck at the right distance when spraying. Therefore the rubberized undercoat as a "good second". Also found out the Premium boosts quote on bed to $600 which aligns with many of the quotes others have received.

Thee are two other shops in town. I'd guess one of them has a rack and can do the wheel wells.

My local Linex shop declined to spray the wheel wells with Linex. He said they've tried it before, but due to the extremely high pressure spray, it's inevitable that Linex gets on something it shouldn't. He offered rubberized undercoating as an alternative.

So I decided to do it myself. I used 3M 08883 undercoating (superior to 08881) which I thought was a good compromise because it might not be as durable as Linex, but definitely better than plastidip. It was incredibly tedious masking up the wheel wells properly. I'm pretty ****, so it took me about 4 hours total per side to prep and spray with 3 coats. Now I know why Linex charges so much for the wheel wells, it's all in the prep! Anyway, I'm very pleased with the results and happy that I saved a lot of coin as well.
