I finally picked up my '13 SCREW and am awaiting to treat it to a bit of Line X. My initial thoughts are to apply LX Premium to the front and rear bumpers and the plastic fender flares in addition to the bed and wheel wells (removing all of the gray pieces). I have seen pictures where this has been done and am impressed.

The issue revolves around the ABS Plastic Fender Flares. The Line X guys are telling me that they will need to completely encapsulate them to ensure the product will not flake/peel as it doesnt bond very well to plastic. Will this create fitment issues when attempting to reinstall the flares? Is there a solution or any others out there who have any experience with such? I really do not want to risk ruining the flares or having them not fit correctly. I spoke with a body shop rep and their conservative wisdom is to leave stock.

Thoughts?!

Pull them off have them cap the whole flare. Fitment issue isn't a problem just make sure they only us the Line-x rough stuff on the front not so much on the back.

I just wanted to offer a much cheaper alternative. I just Plasti-dipped my bumpers, flares, and grill. It came out great and now that it's dry feels very durable. Granted not as durable as linex but hell I only spent $35 to do everything! I was going to go the linex route as well when I learned about this stuff.

For both bumpers, grill, and wheel well flares I was quoted just over $900. $900 vs $35??? Hmmm what other mods could I do for $850!!

The dipping looks like an interesting option (turned out nice!).... Where are the $900 quotes coming from?! What all is included? I was quoted $1400 here in Houston for the flares, front/rear bumpers, rear wheel wells, and a bedliner. All in premium. That is with a body shop doing all of the labor (removal/installation of bumpers and flares) while performing the mid-perch and alignment on an additional bill. It sounds like I am getting screwed!!!! Any recommendations are welcomed for sure!

My bed and flares were 600 bucks but i don't think it was premium but I don't have any fade from when it was first put on. I even made them take off the cover for the tailgate handle and spray under it as well.

I got my truck line-x'd and I love it. Bed, rear wells and fender flares. They removed the flares but the back side is not rough so I don't think they covered that side. Looks awesome!
