Wish I had known about it! I would have taken pictures... and tested my ol' 35w (I think) HID Lightforce 240s. They definitely don't spread like an LED but they do have some range!
That would have been great. Too bad I didn't think to specifically tell you...
I sure was hoping to see some results for the china made bars that everyone is installing lately. :shrug:
Four out of the five lightbars tested are from China.

Unless they make different optics for different lights then yes, it should be a good indicator.

Something I'm really curious to see would be is how 180w worth of 3w, 5w and 10w LEDs actually compare to eachother at different distances assuming similar reflectors/optics.

Very nice Will. Definitely agrees with my far less rigorous and far more informal testing.
