Looks like you and I are in the minority. I have zero interest in cruise control.
My wife’s car has it along with steering assist (BMW) and I couldn’t even tell you how to turn it on.

I like to drive cars, even if there’s traffic I want complete control at all times.
Yup, I've driven new cars with lane assist and collision control, they are handy for people who can't drive and shouldn't be behind the wheel to begin with and they are enjoyable for those that know how to drive but want to relax and sip their latte as well, I guess. Just not for me, maybe when I'm old and feeble and drop my teeth on the floor, these safety features will come in handy, lol.

Lane assist drives me nuts. I hate when I accidentally hit that button below the shifter. But adaptive cruise is very nice. My wife’s Audi was annoying till I learned how to switch everything off. It wouldn’t allow lane changes unless turn signal was on and felt like a bowling lane with the bumpers up.

I don't use cruise control either.
I’m quite surprised at that. How do you steer while your left hand is twiddling your sac and your right shifting your stick? :lol:

I never said I’m a constant or even often user of cruise or that it’s the greatest thing sliced bread. I use it perhaps 5 percent of the time. My wife uses it 95 percent of the time. And as for how it works up hills and curves, blame Ford and other manufacturers for not keeping up with the available tech. Innodrive on a Porsche or ACC on Mercedes through GPS knows the road, the curves, the uphills, downhills, and reacts accordingly.

And as for the statement about auto emergency braking being on all the time, come stand in my driveway and I’ll drive at you. I won’t apply the brake. Let me know how it feels when the Raptor flattens u like an Aunt Jemima pancake.

No way it's a 100K truck. Maybe upper $80Ks, with options to just over $90K.

They are simply sticking a blower on a Coyote. A lightly modified version of an engine they already install in F150s by the tens of thousands. They just need to find some weak points and address them.

Why would it cost $25K more to build? Ford doesn't run out and buy a $12K intercooled supercharger kit from Kenne Bell for each truck. The entire blower setup with intercooler and pump might cost them $2K, total. They used to sell the Eaton blowers for Cobras and Lightnings around $1300 as a new replacement part through dealers- so you know they were getting them for less than half of that.

They'll need to drop in another $2000 to $3000 to beef up the drivetrain- axles, trans, Tcase, driveshafts, brakes, fuel pumps. Some of it is likely up for the task already.

The same $100K+ predictions were thrown out on this site about the 2020 GT500 (again, based on the price of a Stellaris vehicle) and it was nowhere near $100K at launch. I predicted mid $70K and that's exactly where it came in.

I can’t even get a allocation for a 37 package without ADM…wonder how hard this R will he to get? If it is 90ish I’m tempted to try and get my hands on one
