I don't think people should be concerned with how much more the R is over the Base Raptor, but how much the dealers are going to ADM the R out of the market, I'm really hoping FORD steps in and guarantees the average Joe with a paycheck can get one if he wants.

This makes no sense. The Raptor is an over-built, off-road machine. The average Joe can afford a base F-150. There is absolutely nothing about this truck that is based on necessity or practicality.

Right, but that only proves his point more. Nobody needs 700+ HP, offroad capability, AND high-end luxury to travel to work, school, or Starbucks.

You missed my point a little bit. I was meaning that if a true blue worker wanted to have his offroad raptor R it should be obtainable for him to get, not just the rich playboys or collectors. Hopefully Ford makes it available for everybody and not a specialty only vehicle like the GT. If the dealers are allowed to charge any ADM they want, only the very rich will throw money at it. That's all I am referring to, obviously if a mall crawler wants one and put spinners on it, so be it, if it's street legal.

Got it. I understand, though I don't agree. No one should be guaranteed a shot at a luxury item, in my opinion. Bread and eggs, sure. Raptor R, no - let the demand drive the price.

The Raptor is already a little bit of a stretch for most people. In most parts of the country the average wage isn't going to get you into a Raptor. It's expensive, and expensive to drive. At $90k+ the Raptor R (or TRX) are 100% luxury purchases that are way outside the grasp of the average American. Average new car price in the US is $40k right now.

I think the point is that I think these offroad truck loaded with lane keeping, adaptive cruise, etc is a joke, and I laugh at you guys.

The Raptor demographic is the type that literally brags how expensive their truck is, they take pride in it.

Just look at how butt hurt you are at someone bragging how cheap they got theirs. So many of you would froth at the mouth at a 6 figure raptor, simply for bragging rights.

Your $100k raptor will be great towing your boat on pavement up to tahoe , just what it was made for.
