i keep trying to trigger the lane assist to work and slightly move the steering wheel and i can't get it to work. anybody know what i might be doing wrong? i have it turned on because the lanes turn green on the icon when i'm driving.

Make sure that you have the aid-only mode or alert+aid mode checked. Alert only mode will only give you steering wheel vibration when you drift out of a lane. Having the aid turned on will actually provide an assisted steering torque input when you drift out of a lane.

i tried playing with it. how can you tell the difference between the modes that you are referring to?

Mine yanks the wheel so hard in Normal mode it's almost obnoxious sometimes. There is also a delay in it being disabled when you turn on the turn signal so sometimes when running adaptive cruise on the highway it resists you changing lanes. I have learned to turn on my turn signal a bit early to give it time to deactivate before I start changing lanes.

Mine pulls pretty hard too. I would bet you have yours turned on to alert only right now. You also have to be touching the wheel for it to work. I usually only turn mine on when Im doing long trips on the freeway. I find it very annoying driving around town.

I don’t like it most of the time. If you have ever had the steering break while driving you might agree but I gives me that initial freeing that it’s not working. Gives me a half second of oh shit before it turns.
