Kooks high flow GREEN catted down pipes installed!!

Looking forward to what your impressions are. If you can, let us know how the SPD adapters fit with the Kooks downpipe (I'm still running the stock adapters and am wondering about incremental benefit of installing the SPD if I go the Kooks route).

Jayrod you should post the name of your consulting business, and what shops you've consulted. That would put all the "troll" comments to bed.

Naw topic is dead not dragging friends into a bitching match of who thinks what downpipe is better. That is experience based, everyone has a differing experience with insert company.

Listen, I didn't feel threatened at any time by Jayrod. This is the internet where we all have freedom of speech because guys like him who fight for it. I respect his military back ground and appreciate it. I'm sorry if I got a little excited in defense of Kooks and my own company.

Fact of the matter is I've been a member here for a while and a good number of the Gen 1 guys can vouch for my good customer relations and business technique. Not only on this forum but a large number of other Ford performance forums. Google JimIII@JDM and see what comes up. I have tens of thousands of technical and customer service provided posts and responses to the entire FORD community. I just thought it was pretty crazy he was going after Kooks product, especially in my post I put together to provide information and a good sale price on for all Gen 2 guys.

Guys back on topic, if you want a bad ass Down pipe system give me a call or if you don't like me call Kooks or another Kooks dealer.

Wasn't going after your sales, was offering my experience and that of a few others that Kooks isn't the best in our experience with them and I've never had an issue with SW. It's fine to have an opinion but saying I'm wrong even though I've had insert experience makes you seem pompous. But, hatchet buried and moving on.

I am still on the fence as to whether or not I will buy a Raptor in the next year but I am going to be honest here. This forum has thus far been a huge turnoff for me with respect to the Raptor community. In my 20 years on internet enthusiast boards I have never come across a community of so many insecure cry babies as this. Seriously. After a few weeks of watching on these forums, I've leaned a few things.

1. This forum has great information about the Raptor.
2. This forum has great information about the Raptor with thrown in some light hearted banter in posts.
3. This forum is lacking moderation that allows trolls/butthurt individuals to permeate at times.

I joined knowing this and accepting 1 and 2 and filtering out 3. If you do decide to be Raptized, you could do the same or find another forum.. albeit not as quite as informational.

We didn't do a before and after Dyno testing but the customer said he noticed a big difference in performance. The boost hold stronger at WOT and comes in sooner. The truck pulls much harder on the top end as well. Better exhaust flow is the way to go with Turbos!

I'm somewhat of a Ford performance enthusiast for the last 30 years or so, and I've never heard anything particularly negative about JDM. To me, they seem to be early to market with parts for new models and are always in a lot of magazines with their shop cars/trucks. Neither one of those items makes them "good" or "bad"- but I can say I've never heard anyone basically say "JDM sucks" until Jayrod went off on them.

That's saying something given the not so uncommon high level of *******-ness from those that like to modify their brand new vehicles, and even more so from those that are not capable of doing it themselves so they have to pay a shop to do it for them. You'd think somewhere along the line one of "those" guys would have shitposted about his JDM sob story on every Ford forum out there- but I've never seen that.

Short Version,

Their long tube headers for my vette had two major issues, they tried to blame it on a few things that were not possible or within reason. After a few bouts with them, they finally agreed to refund me or provide a new set (which i didn't want). That process took the better part of 3 months. Fast forward a few years, I went on a limb and tried them again, had an issue with a weld shortly after install. Same shit again. So IMO kooks is not the best, but again my opinion on my experience. Now lump my best friends shop into this and his issues with them and now we have somewhat of a pattern. Seeing as I was roasted for saying i consult a shop before I buy something like its unheard of. My argument with Jim was simple, he implied Kooks was the best and it wasn't up for discussion no matter what because I'm JDM and I'm the Ford Master. When a highly respected Ford shop in FL disagrees and my experience with them says the same. That is really where this went off the path.
