I plan on getting the Decked storage for the bed of my truck and putting all my recovery gear inside. Although I have a lot of research to do in terms of bed cover, rack, and lighting but I am definitely getting the Decked storage units for sure and basing everything around it

generally, you want a kinetic rope 3 times your gross vehicle weight. any higher rating and you are not getting the maximum stretch out of the rope. ie your not using the full potential of the ropes ability.

Correct, bigger isn’t better regardless what a mod might think.

Sure this won't be too much weight for the truck? :D:D:D

But seriously, Holy shit man. $700 in recovery gear? That rope looks WAY oversized for a standard fullize truck that isnt getting top loader rockwell axles and 52" implement tires buried in a sticky mud hole. I've been using standard $40 3" x 30' tow straps to get things unstuck for 20 years with no problems, but to each their own I guess. Been pulled out and pulled plenty out with them too.

I keep an old lifting sling and an $8 soft shackle behind my seat for emergencies, and have a soft bag with my "good" strap and metal shackle I pack for trips.

Cabela's points! Cost me $48 out of pocket.

The "correct" rope to have is more than one if you can afford them. I already have a 30K rope. in 2 situations this past winter that rope was undersized so I also wanted one that was complete overkill. I've also been watching Matt's Recovery for years. You ever see the videos of him recovering a full sized truck with a toyhauler attached? You think he's using a 30K rope for that?

I'm probably not ever going to NEED that much but I bet I'll never buy another rope because I won't break my 30K using it for something I shouldn't.

True, but Matt doesn't do recoveries with a Raptor.
