Hey everyone, hope you're all well. My question to all of you is has anyone yet tried the Kicker Sub upgrade in their Raptor yet? If so was the improvement worth the cost, if there was an improvement at all? I like the idea of just plug and play if it's worth the cost.

Thank you!

If you have the Sony or B&O the kicker upgrade won’t work for whatever reason. I called Kicker and talked to them and they said only the base (cheap) radio will work with the upgrade. Now with that said I think 1 member on here managed to make it work. You would have to search the forum.

It's only because of the start stop feature and once it's disabled you're good to go with the Kicker sub. I installed all Kicker speakers including the powered sub on my 17 with the 802A pkg in Jan of 2017 and I didn't have any issues because I'm running MPT tunes with the start stop feature disabled. The Kicker stuff was a HUGE upgrade over the stock speakers.

I'm going to resurrect this thread. I just checked with Kicker and they say the VKL3Z-18808-A sub upgrade will work with my 2020 Raptor 801A. Kicker says the amp is made by another company and IS compatible with start/stop. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience/reviews they can share on this model with a newer Raptor?

I have a 2018 802A with B&O. I used the Kicker 43CWRT82 sub with the Kenwood KAC-M3001 amp. I threw in a little stuffing inside the box and then wrapped the box with audio matting. It took about a week for the sub to break in, but it was TOTALY worth it! The bass is clean and hits hard. I see guys putting these huge heavy boxes under the rear seats and just don't understand why.

I want to do this. Where did you connect your amp for the speaker signal?
